Having started in the fine dining restaurant business (The Copper Cellar Restaurants) -on the day Elvis died, August17, 1977- our owner / operator has gained years of experience in the foodservice industry.

Eventually transitioning to casual dining and catering (Calhoun’s Restaurant – “Best Ribs in America”), he has had a hand in serving more than 1.2 Million happy customers since!

He established and founded Doc’s Catering in November of 2004 and continues to work daily with the staff to ensure the highest in quality and value for all customers.

• Many events catered at the Tennessee Governor’s Mansion including serving Al Gore and Bill Clinton.
• Served NFL greats Bart Starr, Johnny Unitas, Terry Bradshaw, and others at The Tennessee Executive Residence.
• A member of the “Best Ribs in America” Championship Team in The National Rib Cookoff in Cleveland Ohio.
• Served TVA barge parties of up to 500 people.
• Was employed as Kitchen Manager and General Manager for 20 years by one of the finest restaurant groups – ever- in the state of Tennessee- The Copper Cellar Corporation.
